About
Mark
“Hello”, here is some background on myself.
I have worked as an Airline Pilot in the commercial airline industry in excess of twenty years and have seen first-hand the effects of sleep deprivation on the health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues and service users.
I have gained qualifications in cognitive behavioural therapy and clinical and pastoral counselling through The Institute of Counselling.
Following this, I trained with the Sleep Consultancy in Edinburgh to specialise in the Advanced Practice of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Insomnia, CBT-I. I work collaboratively with my clients to resolve their insomnia and improve mental and physiological health too. I have worked successfully with clients in aviation, finance, science and technology, the arts and those retired.
The sustained benefits of good restorative sleep are life changing for many clients I have worked with. Improvements are tangible in mental and physiological health, and it really is an achievement and pleasure to see these gains sustained when I check in with them three months post therapy completion.
